Remembering Pete Seeger

Stephen has begun working on a suite of original reggae songs to honor Pete Seeger.  "Pete was the first live musician I ever saw when he came to an AME Zion church picnic at Baird Park sometime in the 1960's.  He had a banjo and a guitar and sat under a tree playing songs for all us kids.  It was my first experience with a live, solo performance.  I remember wanting to play the guitar but I didn't for many years after.  As an adult I learned about the many ways that Pete embodied an honorable life in music and environmental activism.  He never wanted a monument or any worldly honors but I think the most appropriate thing to remember Pete by is a song."
